Gilt bronze French Empire Chandelier

Rare large antique ceiling light from the French Empire period 1815. Ormolu hanging chandelier with 9 sconce ormolu candle holders and mercurial original bronze details including its rare original ornate upper crown. Well cast in solid bronze and gold with patinated bronze finish dish. This period light has had three later globe holders discretely fitted into the dish to provide uphight that reflects off the ceiling, clever design! As with all hard wired light fittings it will be necessary for your licensed Australian electrician to install and certify it is safe when installing it.
