French bronze cartel wall clock

French Louis XVI Cartel clock with hand painted enamel dial and gilt bronze ormolu case circa 1880. A glazed watch glass door covers the painted enamel face with roman numerals and brueget steel hands. In good working order and with original spring suspension pendulm, the two train movement with silver bell strike. Theese cartel clocks were always designed to be hung from the wall. They usually stand proud of the wall aith a brass dust cover or drum to keep the mechanism safe. Working 8 day mechanism with key and pendulum. The clock weighs around 5 kg France Circa 1880
