Mahogany Empire 2 door bookcase 1820

Antique Napoleonic Empire small mahogany glazed two door bookcase with adjustable shelves and lower drawer 1820. The original hand drawn glass doors opens with a steel key to a space with 4 adjustable solid wood removable shelves. A later painted panel at the pack compliments the mahogany nicely. The doors have glazed upper and flame mahogany panels below. below the bookcase in the plinth are two drawers ...or so it seems. One drawer is normal but there is a hidden drawer inside and the key is the key to opening this secret compartment. Good original french polished patina.
