Satinwood rosewood Louis XV table ormolu

Antique Satinwood Louis XV lamp table rosewood moulding raised on elegant cabriole legs and ormolu mounts. Other specimen timbers used in this superb table include kingwood, tulip wood and brazilian rosewood in the solid molded serpentine shaped top. Good original patina and finish. This superb piece of early 19th century furniture bears the label of John Ball and Forman, founded in 1809 and expanding to Oxford Street London in 1835. Forman joined the business in 1855. The business offered bespoke made furniture as well as restored antiques. English circa 1830
