Important Italian walnut marquetry commode of 3 shaped drawers superb original condition circa 1740 A rarity of this gorgeous Baroque chest of drawers is the superb quality marquetry inlay with its original waxed patina. the rounded Lombardy chest dates from the early to mid 18th century. its curvaceaous shape is raised on elegant slender sabre legs carved in solid walnut. Each drawer with original working iron locks and with 3 working keys . All drawers slide smoothly and have the traditional push pull key method to open and close.
