Tall Empire mahogany wall mirror 1825

Empire mahogany mirror with arched pediment top carved medallions and ebonised mount. Original patina to frame and with the original bevelled edge silvered glass- a value point as antique mirror glass was usually more expensive to produce than the wooden frames that held them. The architectural top above an inserted panel with ebonised carved ornate centre and with with egg and dart carved pediment in satinwood. The mirror panel is flanked by turned mahogany columns with contrasting satinwood capitals and bases. A shaped base below the glass with stepped molding
