Antique Swedish Empire Mora grandfather clock with carved hand shaped pine long case with original working 8 day movement. The tall case in typical provincial hand painted pine wood waxed finish in the Gustavian late 18th century manner.' Of typical form with drumhead top but more elegant tapering body with lunette window. The Swedish Mora clock first appeared in Sweden during the Gustavian Period in the mid-eighteenth century. The steel and brass clock mechanism with top mounted twin bells and two cast iron weights. The bell strikes the hour count. Good working order.
