Rare two height desk Directoire 1799

Very rare antique Directoire period two height desk with leather inserts and original french polished patina original late 18th century. The arch top back with architectural pediment flanked by two small drawers. A lift top writing slope with gorgeous gilt tooled olive leather surface. When unlocked and opened the space below the writing surface accomodates four internal drawers and lots of storage space for peritherals. A false front drawer and two lower drawers all with matching lions head handles . The lowest drawer fitted with a leather writing surface flanked by compartments. late 18th
